Wonderspace proudly unveiled Seven Paintings Ubud, a mesmerizing interactive dining experience that fused art, animation, and gastronomy. Set in the serene chapel at Kaamala Resort, DITS Asia brought this one-of-a-kind experience to life, redefining the dining scene in Bali.
Launched on December 16, 2024, Seven Paintings Ubud offered guests a unique seven-course culinary journey inspired by the masterpieces of legendary artists such as Da Vinci and Van Gogh. This immersive experience invited diners to explore the creative process behind some of the world’s most iconic artworks through food, flavor, and imagination.
A Dazzling Dining Show at the Da Vinci Table
Guests seated at the Da Vinci table embarked on a sensory journey like no other, where art and food seamlessly came together. The experience invited diners to become part of the masterpiece by creating their own edible art, painting the paper, and spraying the dessert with colors. This interactive process added an extra layer of fun to each bite, transforming every meal into a participatory work of art.
“At the heart of the Da Vinci table, the boundaries between diner and artist blurred. Each course was an artistic tribute, transforming the plate into a canvas while iconic works of art came alive around the table,” said Fenty S. Prawiraatmadja, Marketing Director Of Wonderspace. “Our goal was to immerse guests in the art of dining. Seven Paintings Ubud became Bali’s first interactive dinner animation, where guests weren’t merely watching the artwork unfold—they became the maestros. Each dish was inspired by iconic artists, combining culinary brilliance with a playful, artistic twist. From Da Vinci to Van Gogh, each course served at the Da Vinci table invited diners to unleash their creative side. It was more than just dining; it was a celebration of art and culinary craftsmanship,” she concluded.
The Menu: A Masterpiece of Flavors
The Artisan Menu at Seven Paintings Ubud began with a golden brioche paired with foie gras, fig onion jam, and edible flowers, followed by sliced octopus with truffle anchovies and roasted almonds. Hamachi with green grapes and pickled daikon represented Picasso, while a splash of goma tare with purées embodied Pollock. Braised beef cheek in a Coca-Cola bottle nodded to Warhol, and a white chocolate soufflé with mashed potatoes and truffle oil evoked Dali. The final course, inspired by Van Gogh, featured a white chocolate bar with colorful edible paints.
The Vegetarian Menu included Michelangelo’s crispy lumpia with sweet corn, Banksy’s grilled vegetables with truffle anchovies, and Picasso’s poached pear with green grapes. Pollock offered a splash of spinach and beetroot purées. Warhol presented tofu steak with cauliflower purée, while Dali showcased a white chocolate soufflé. Van Gogh closed the menu with a colorful edible paint-inspired white chocolate bar. Each dish was a vibrant tribute to iconic artists.
